Listening and chatting, leisure/social activities. Keep a log of visits made and brief details of conversations. A DBS will be required for this role. Carers Support & Activity Group Volunteer Tasks include, engaging with carers, providing stimulating conversation on a 1:1 basis, if they want someone to talk to. Support carers to join in with activity sessions and making and serving refreshments. Crossroads Care Charity Shop / Coffee Shop volunteer Tasks include, assisting with sorting, steaming, pricing, displaying and hanging of donated items. Serving hot beverages to members of the public. High quality customer service and recording sales on the cash register Other roles include: Admin & Fundraising volunteers. | |||

Volunteer Roles Telephone Befriending Make regular telephone calls offering a listening ear and social contact.Keep a log of calls and brief details of conversation. Volunteer Recruitment Crossroads recruits and train local people to provide much needed support to improve the health & wellbeing of carers in Rotherham. Crossroads recruit’s volunteers, of any age, who are able to give a little of their time to help reduce cares social isolation and improve their health and well-being.
