The 31st Annual General Meeting for Crossroads Care Rotherham came to a close yesterday afternoon and it was a HUGE success! Due to Covid restrictions last year, Crossroads Care Rotherham reluctantly had to cancel the AGM. However, this year’s AGM celebrated the 30+1 years of meetings with a lovely pearl theming (as seen below).
We had a great lineup of speakers, from the mayor of Rotherham herself, to several members, the operations manager of Crossroads Care Rotherham and the chair of the board of trustees. We were fortunate enough to have multiple testimonials from volunteers to show off during the presentation that impressed the audience, as well as a great video to promote The Corner now that it’s back open. Several people were also given awards for their hard work, such as the Martin Ensor Award (formerly known as the Volunteer of the Year award. Name was changed in loving memory of Martin Ensor), Care Support Worker of the Year and the Long Service Awards, in which two received award for working with us for ten years and two for working with us for twenty five years.
After the presentation, we had a lovely afternoon tea spread in the main eating area of Sitwell Park Golf Club, with live music from guest singer Ellie Butcher, who did a fantastic job. Everything went so well and we at Crossroads Care Rotherham are so proud of every single person who helped us to get ready for AGM this year.
From those who decorated the room for us, to the caterers who provided the afternoon tea, to the board of trustees, to the members and the team at the Crossroads Care Rotherham Office, thank you for making this event absolutely amazing for all of us.
