Back to News Transfer of Sheffield Service For over 30 years, Sheffield Carers Centre has proudly provided information, advice, and support for unpaid carers in the city – including services delivered on behalf of Sheffield City Council. However, due to financial pressures, the Carers Centre is no longer able to continue operating independently and will close. After consideration and discussion with the Council, it’s been agreed the best way to protect these vital services and ensure carers continue to receive uninterrupted support is to transfer them to Crossroads Care Charity from 1 January 2026 Your service will continue as normal Both charities are working closely with the City Council to ensure this transition is smooth and Sheffield’s carers are fully supported throughout. There will be no change to the services carers currently receive and you do not need to take any action. All the existing support will continue, and you will still speak to the same friendly, experienced staff who know and understand the needs of carers in Sheffield. The following notice has been sent to all unpaid carers registered with us This includes details about the transfer, but if you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact us by phoning 0114 272 8362 or emailing office@sheffieldcarers.org.uk You can also download a copy of the notice by clicking here >>> Latest News September Newsletter Excellent Rating
