A new way of working has been implemented for our Operations team and with that comes 8 exciting vacancies to join our care support worker team in the community. Each role will be based in a region of Rotherham and provide care and support to vulnerable people in their own homes.  Working 1 in 4 weekends on a roat’d basis is fundamental to the role.

The aim of the roles are to provide person centred support and assistance to Clients and their Carers to enable them to live independently, stay healthy, exercise maximum control over their own life and participate in social and community activities whilst retaining maximum dignity and respect.

General Responsibilities

To provide a high quality service which will involve the provision of personal, social and domestic care to support clients to achieve their desired outcome as documented in the clients individual support plan.

To respect the personal choice of lifestyles of Carers, people with care needs and colleagues, ensuring that equal opportunities principles are applied at all times.

To positively promote Crossroads Care Rotherham and be a representative for the charity by wearing the branded uniform during client visits.

To ensure electronic call monitoring procedures are adhered to and utilised as it is intended.

To provide emergency care to existing and new service users.

To work on a rota’d basis over the weekend for the entire Borough of Rotherham.

To complete emergency risk assessments and care plans necessary to commence a care package.
